Why our volunteers serve
“I have volunteered with Breakthrough for the past two years. I love helping students pass the threshold of understanding, because I know how frustrating it can be not to understand a topic. My parents are both immigrants, so I understand the importance of leveling the playing field and giving everyone an equal and fair chance.”
– Romani Sahafi, High School Student
