Breakthrough is meeting this moment of education recovery by connecting young leaders with meaningful teaching experiences and pathways to the classroom. Take for example educators like Luis Gonzales.
Luis knew early that he wanted to be a teacher. Although growing up, the only Latino teacher he had was his Spanish teacher. “I want to make sure students have a teacher who shares some of their experiences,”he says. After serving two years as a Teaching Fellow at Breakthrough San Juan Capistrano, Luis entered the classroom in 2020.

We need your help to recruit more future educators like Luis.
